Complimentary First Visit (Hooray!)

Dr. Chen will review your medical/dental history and complete a thorough clinical examination. She will discuss treatment options and go over any patient or parent concerns and expectations. An estimate for the cost of care and time of treatment will be provided. This visit usually takes about 30 minutes.

Records

After your exam, orthodontic records may be taken or scheduled. This includes digital photos, x-rays, and digital scan (no more gagging impressions!). Dr. Chen will review your records and answer any questions you may have before starting treatment. She will personally send a report to your dentist.

Treatment

Dr. Chen will be with you every step of the way during your treatment. Braces are adjusted monthly so that you may complete treatment sooner than if you are seen every 6-8 weeks. Invisalign patients progress at a similar pace but may go longer between visits because they change their own aligners instead of wires.

Retention

When active tooth movement is complete, Dr. Chen will help you determine the type of retainer to keep your final result intact for the rest of your life.
