Dr. Chen’s dedication to providing the latest in orthodontics is reflected in her education and experience.
Dr. Asher Chiu was born in Taiwan and moved to Seattle with his family 20 years ago. He is a proud Triple Husky as he completed his undergraduate, dental, and orthodontic specialty training all through the University of WashingtonThis link opens a new tab to the UW website (Go Dawgs!). Dr. Asher received many awards and recognitions while in dental school at UW and served as class president during his orthodontic residency.
He currently lives in Seattle with his wife, Stephanie, and their 3-year-old Boston Terrier, Tucker. When he is not straightening teeth and creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Asher loves to cook, read, golf, and explore the Pacific Northwest through sailing and backpacking.
Dr. Asher is excited to join Dr. Chen in serving the Redmond community and cannot wait to meet everyone. He is fluent in Taiwanese and Mandarin. Please make sure to say hi next time you see him in the office!

Dr. Chen is a graduate of many prestigious science and dental programs, from MIT and Harvard to Columbia and the University of Washington.
Dr. Chen’s orthodontic training includes participation in the craniofacial anomaly/cleft lip and palate team at Children's Hospital.
A firm believer in lifelong education, Dr. Chen regularly hosts a study group for young orthodontists. She is also an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Washington.
