The most common phrase said by our adult patients is, "I wish I had come here sooner." Americans are keeping their teeth longer than ever and now an estimated 25% of orthodontic patients are over 21. Most did not have the benefit of treatment as an adolescent; some are having teeth moved into proper positions prior to implants or cosmetic dentistry so that their natural teeth do not need to be cut down; and others are brief (12 month) "re-treats" who have had minor movement decades after childhood treatment.
